Empathy helps us to work better together by allowing us to evaluate situations from someone else’s perspective. Through that lens, we can start conversations from a place of deeper understanding, which enables us to negotiate work more effectively.

One of my passions is partnering with others and offering my skills to help them push their visions one step further. One way I’ve been able to channel this passion is by using my design expertise to help solopreneurs and startup companies with their branding needs.

Conducting UX workshops in perfectly normal office conditions has its challenges and as remote work becomes increasingly popular, UX teams face the challenge of pulling off this same complex process without the benefit of face-to-face interaction.

For about a year, I’ve been building a small audience of my Instagram followers for my Sunday Meal Prep, #realprep. Every Sunday I prep and post to my Instagram story what I’m eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the week.

Recently, I had the opportunity to flex my creative muscle in a new way! I have worked with HollyAnne from https://www.stringandstory.com/ for several years. One of the first projects I did with her was creating the logo and brand identity for String & Story, which is featured on my main portfolio page.

Last fall, I email interviewed with Courtney Windham who runs an online magazine featuring interviews with women who have graduated from Auburn’s Industrial Design and Graphic Design program. Below is an excerpt from my interview.
